Toronto’s premier celebration of island cuisine, culture, and community.

Held each year at Mel Lastman Square, the festival unites the boldest flavours from Jamaica, Trinidad, Barbados, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Cuba, and beyond to tell stories of heritage and home.

Rooted in shared histories of resilience, migration, creativity, and cultural fusion, the Caribbean and Latin American islands have long been connected by common threads — from colonial legacies and African, Indigenous, and European influences to vibrant traditions passed down through generations.

Island Eats celebrates these unbreakable bonds by bringing the islands together under one square, where food becomes the universal language of heritage, joy, and belonging.

Tourism Boards, local vendors, musicians, and artists come together to create an electric weekend of soca, merengue, salsa, live performances, and pure island energy.

Whether you’re craving authentic island food or simply want to soak up the sun-soaked vibes right in the heart of Toronto, Island Eats is your passport to the Caribbean and Latin tropics — no plane ticket required.

More than a festival, Island Eats is a space for connection; where families reunite, new friendships form, and the next generation discovers the richness of their roots.

Come hungry. Come curious. Come ready to lime.
Let's make Island Eats 2026 one to remember.
